A startling message on a 1,200-year-old granite slab created by the Vikings appears to predict climate change, experts say.
The research, published in Futharc: International Journal of Runic Studies, looks at the message that was written after Viking warrior Varins son died in battle in the 9th century, foreseeing a new climate crisis, similar to the weather conditions that happened nearly 300 years prior.
This study proposes instead that the inscription deals with an anxiety triggered by a sons death and the fear of a new climate crisis similar to the catastrophic one after 536 [AD], researchers, led by Per Holmberg, wrote in the studys abstract.

I’m pretty sure it was Adam Thielen.
No, it says, “Drink your Ovaltine.”
Here.....
Let me translate.
May a herring swim up your nose.
Probably one of my ancestors.
No, they didnt predict it. They went through it.
I think they were more worried about intestinal parasites than climate change. They ate a lot of rotten and undercooked meat. The evidence is, they were absolutely riddled with worms.
Almost bought a Viking SUV. Tough to find parts...
So that wasn't the "royal we" they were fond of using.
It looks like a serious disaster. I think I saw at least a dozen hockey sticks!
These idiots see climate change everywhere. It’s like a sixth sense!
This is a sort of paranoid schizophrenia where people see what they are obsessed with, scared of etc... in everything and anything.
It says ‘Cold front coming in.”
To me, this is another instance of knowing history and looking at it when studying the weather. Joe Bastardi trumpets this line constantly and he was taught it by his meteorologist father.
Next to the runes predicting global warming was a carving depicting ManBearPig, and the message included the cryptic lament, “If only Greta were here to warn us.”
The year 536, is the beginning of the Dark Ages and then the Justinian Plague. What caused the Dark Ages? My guess is volcanic ash darkening the skies for a few years that caused crops to fail, etc due to summers without sunlight. It literally was the Dark Ages.
Why do you think they call it Greenland? At the time the weather moderated enopugh to allow settlement in the southern end of Greenland and colonization for a time
And during that period Grapes were able to be grown in the northern most parts of England
Look up Vinland as well
Let me guess that these researchers will discover the Vikings had their own version of Greta Thunberg speaking out against climate change!
It said: "Jefferey Epstein won't kill himself"
Well that wasnt a difficult prediction......the climate has been changing since there was one and it will continue to do so based on natural events...not suvs...
