Tsar Bomba is the big one.
The movie Trinity and Beyond is a good history of the nukes.
Narrated by William Shatner...

Awesome movie. Amazing to watch what we used to do with the bombs.
The Smithsonian Channel runs some good shows on nuclear history. Bombs over Nevada is very interesting.

My father was on Enewetak for that one. Cancer eventuallu got him but it was years later and probably unrelated. I remember stories of the “Lucky Dragon” fishing boat.

The thing is...Tsar Bomba was deliberately made to release the mega-tonnage it did. Castle Bravo was an accident, meant to deliver a lesser explosion. The eggheads misjudged what some of the materials used would do the bomb.

Yeah that was suppose to be a 6 ton but it ended up being a 15 ton.
Check it out what the scientist that were observing it said.
The crazy part is that was in 1954, and it is still terrifying to this day. I am sure we have way better technology today.

There are more shows about our nukes in there as well. Interesting time in history....presuming the Smithsonian is showing it correctly.
