I use a bike but I am not a "biker." I am here to spread a sense of reality, equity and to expose hypocrisies of green bicycling selfishness.

I know a lot of bikers, but I wouldn't call any of them "green."

They ride for fitness and sport (and are courteous to drivers).

Most of the people on these threads are of that type of biker. Are they the ones you are angry with?

Why would I be angry with people I cannot see? Courteous bikers and those who actually use the bike paths should enjoy their sport.

I object to those I observed who do not.

Wife dug my 30-year old Mariushi 12 speed out of the shed and had it restored as a surprise birthday gift.

Used to do 20 miles each day on it - something to look forward to working up to this spring. It is a nice, throw-back looking ride.

I bought a new Schwinn Varsity 10 speed to get me to class in my college days.
With the optional “toe clips” the bike cost $90...a fortune in ‘69.

It’s probably still serving someone today in Iowa City...

Another classic look for a bike - quick search showed them going for 100 - 200 dollars from the 70's era (in great condition).
