According to reports, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett will not be re-signed to his position with the team.
An insider told ESPNs Ed Werder that the team sowed an abundance of care and respect for Garrett, but team owner and general manager Jerry Jones and executive vice president Stephen Jones have decided to give the coach his walking papers.

Next phase to involve candidate interviews will begin quickly thereafter. 11.3K 8:12 PM - Jan 2, 2020 Twitter Ads info and privacy

I looked at it wrong and read it as “Cowboys Set Fire to Jason Garrett”
When I first read this I thought it said:
“Report: Cowboys Set Fire to Jason Garrett”
That seemed far more interesting than what it actually said.
Still no official word from the Cowboys. Until then, I’ll just take all of these other reports with a grain of salt.
IMO, Jones will just let Coach Clappy’s contract expire on the 14th and not renew it.
Great minds think alike.
Actually, the trash fire is in the front office.
....or great minds are dyslexic...........
Well, in popular usage of the words, if the Cowboys do not renew his contract, that is tantamount to the coach being fired.
Yes, but there have been numerous “reports” implying that it’s already done. Again ... there has been no official word from the organization.
But yes, it’s coming. We all know that.
I am guessing, but I bet Jerry Jones is talking with other owners, trying to get Jason a job he can just move in to immediately..................
They have already ‘fired’ any training staff that did not have contracts...............
First read that as “Cowboys set fire to Jason Garrett.”
That wouldn’t surprise me in the least. In fact, the only way Jones can surprise me is if he gives full control to the next coach while he simply sits in his comfy chair and watches the game.
Me too, the same!
Coach Clapper-Butt Slapper, as Skip Bayless calls him...............
That seems to be a common misconspectacle.........
Quite a few credible candidates will have signed elsewhere by then ...
At which point Jerry will find out everybody else thinks Garrett is a terrible coach who mostly kept his job by not arguing while Jerry screwed up the team. Nobody is hiring him.
You and I both know that AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN.............
