Probably had a stroke as a result of taking birth control pills for years.

Lemon is one of the best remedies for hypertension. It is known to make the blood vessels soft and flexible, lowering blood pressure level. Lemon contains high amounts of Vitamin C, which acts as an anti-oxidant, removing free radicals from the body. ... Lemon juice also lowers cholesterol.
Remember Jim Fixx
She was “in shape” but ignored high blood pressure. Idiot.
Inspirational article. She had exactly the right attitude and worked her way back into something approaching a normal life. That is a lot better than some stroke victims I have known have done. They did not work, and they did not improve.
None of us are going to get out of this alive! Well, I hope to, but I don’t know about you guys!!!
Exercise runs up the blood pressure. Too much exercise can kill a person. And I’ll stick to my medication for my blood pressure instead of going to a naturopath. Beef to boost the red blood cells. Salt to stay healthy. I get better results than that young lady did.
We only have so many steps is my theory. Don’t use em up;^]
Yep, cannot run from a stroke.
She was an elite runner but her BP numbers were just gibberish to her..?
That’s really, really unusual.
That’s like being a Formula 1 driver but never caring about oil pressure & temp.
Caused by low magnesium
Stupidest advice ever. Clot breaking medication can be given in a hospital but there are some very tight time limits in which it can do any good. That extra 90 minutes could have killed her and at the very least increased her recovery time.
Seriously, if you suspect you have stroke symptoms call an ambulance right away. The worst that will happen is that the diagnosis will be "You slept on your arm which is why it is numb" and you'll be the subject of funny stories among the interns. But a numb arm, leg and facial drooping is a major emergency.
Theres such a condition as exercise hypertension. Yes in some cases exercise can release certain enzymes causing tension on arterial walls affecting loss of flexible pulsating effects resulting in heart beating faster, harder and thus high BP. Exercise is great for vasodilation of blood vessels and usually helps to keep normal resting BP readings. I had to take BP meds to control mine and also supplementing with magnesium greatly helped too. We often dont get enough magnesium in our foods and its a vital element for health.
Running isn’t good for you. Even the original Marathon runner croaked as he reached the goal line.
"patent foramen ovale (PFO)"
An opening between heart chambers that is supposed to heal after birth. In about 25% it does not, and increases the risk of stroke in later life. Dislodged plague can cross from venous to arterial side and cause brain blockages.
Gee, not a word about all the coke and crank she was doing...
My beautiful daughter in law (physically fit, ideal weight, exercises regularly, non-smoker, no alcohol or drugs) had a stroke at age 35. Thank God the effects were relatively mild, and have cleared up! Has had migraines since her teens. It was discovered she is missing a vertebral artery on one side of her brain, and it caused her to stroke, and most likely, causes the migraines. High stress job of high school therapeutic counselor for troubled teens. Carries a lot on her shoulders.
