Nobody uses real cameras anymore. Phone cameras have precisely zero controls.

Nope, I have seen them many times drunk and blurry eyed with double vision. Unless that spot is right on you it would not look like that consistently like it did. And there is not one other light on a helicopter that bright period. You can’t even see cockpit lights a 1/4 mile away. It was right in the approach path for McCarran airport from first the east and then the west. That is what the other blinking lights were, planes coming for approach to McCarran. I used to live there and know that skyline like the back of my hand.

Are the city lights UFOs too? Maybe shining spotlights at the camera? Because they're a little over exposed, a bit bloomy, like the helicopter.
Too bad we can't bet a punch in the arm, right?

Oh man... Don’t be silly... I know you have got to be more intelligent than that...

Are you sure? There are an untold number of makes and models. Far too many to assign each a strobe pattern or to expect them to be effective in quick identification. I agree with you here. What I meant was that certain makes and models may have different strobe patterns. Many are obviously identical. According to mine and other aircraft similar to mine, all late model high wing Cessnas seem to have the same strobe pattern. Likely because they have the same type of strobe lights.

I see. Thanks for the explanation.

From the timber of his voice, he's shooting the vid through a window and indoors. STill interesting. At first there were two other come-and-go lights, small, up in the background away from landscape, and they come back later.

Whoops, timbre, not timber.
