2020 seedlings are coming along nicely. I have started 3 new varieties of peppers but I am going to ditch 10 or more varieties I am currently growing. I want fewer plants in bigger pots.
If enough FReepers are interested in growing hot peppers I could mail a couple of hundred seeds to one person then others wanting seeds could send a SASE to that person. That would keep everybody’s costs down.
We had several big oak trees behind and above our house that were threatening, so the local wood choppers got some work.
Other than chain saws, the main tools were ropes, hooks and muscle...
Good morning (or evening) have had your wife on my prayer list. I would pass on the hot pepper seeds but that is a great offer for those interested. I am more of a shishito/completely scraped and cleaned jalapeno/sweet banana/carmen type pepper person. I am trying to remember my favorite red pepper. Haven’t grown any for a few years. Could not find the plants anymore and my seeds got old. It’s red, sweet and horn shaped. The name has an R in it. Can’t believe I can’t remember it. I’m pretty sure it was a Bonnie plant but their website does not have it anymore. I think it was a south American variety. Oh well. Memory goes eventually.
That’s a great idea! Let me think on it. I am interested in that Jalapeno that’s all different colors on the one plant!
It was driving me crazy, and that’s a short trip, so I went out in the garage and looked through all my plant markers. The pepper is the Costa Rican Red pepper. Better flavor and sweeter than the Carmen. Consistent too we grew them for many years.
