Japan is taking its Godzilla obsession to a gargantuan new level. The Nijigen no Mori (Awaji Island Anime) theme park is set to unveil a life-sized attraction revolving around the legendary monsters head and upper body in 2020. For the iconic B-movie beast, life-sized means 65 feet high, 82 feet wide and 180 feet long the exact proportions from one of the films about the beast, CNN reports.

Ping-a-roonie!
Will they ever build a Gamera theme park?
Thank you for posting! They should use that in the park somewhere.
It seemed appropriate. My first concert was BOC. The high point was when the drummer donned the Godzilla head.
Original G, not the one in those execrable remakes!
It would be cheaper to just build a model theme park and dress the park visitors in Godzilla suits. That would be life sized. That’s how they made the movie.
“Life sized” of a creature that never existed....gotta love it.
That said, Godzilla movies are classic comedies...hope the park does well and folks have fun.
Snips from WikiLeaks. ....:-D
Gojira is a portmanteau of the Japanese words: gorira ( “gorilla”) and kujira ( “whale”), owing to the fact that in one planning stage, Godzilla was described as “a cross between a gorilla and a whale”, Godzilla’s name was written in ateji as Gojira , where the kanji are used for phonetic value and not for meaning.
The Japanese pronunciation of the name is the Anglicized form is /áÃÂdÃÂzêlÃÂ/, with the first syllable pronounced like the word “god” and the rest rhyming with “gorilla”.
In the Hepburn romanization system, Godzilla’s name is rendered as “Gojira”, whereas in the Kunrei romanization system it is rendered as “Gozira”. During the development of the American version of Godzilla Raids Again (1955), Godzilla’s name was changed to “Gigantis”, a move initiated by producer Paul Schreibman, who wanted to create a character distinct from Godzilla.[34
Great scene from The Hangover:
Alan: I’m with you, I’m with you!
Mr. Chow: You gonna f on me?
Alan: Nobody’s gonna f on you, we’re on your side. I hate Godzilla, I hate him too! I hate him! He destroys cities!
I would like to see an anamatronic Raymond Burr.
Burr wasn’t in the original Gojira, though.
Mothra is not amused.
This should be quite a park. They will have to rebuild it each night after Gozilla rampages through it each day.
A giant thing threatening and chasing tiny, innocent people while devouring everything in its path?
Sounds like a Democrat-run government...
We already have that amusement park here.
The American version.

......
Now that’s a business plan. ....
