I have been working on a knowledge base of topics related to prepping and SHTF situations. It is geared towards making people more self sufficient with topics ranging from unarmed self defense to small space gardening to how to sew your own clothes. I'm one of those types of people who believe that we are going to go out with a whimper, not a bang, so there is a lot of content on how to do your own repairs, build your own stuff and live a more frugal lifestyle. In order to get access you need to send me a PM then I will give you a link and an access code. Once you're in you can find a directory list in each folder. You can download 1 file or everything there in one big zip file. You would need to have some basic book readers and, for 1 section, an MP3 player all which can be found for free. It's been up and running for a few months now and plenty of people have visited it and lived to tell the tale :-) If you're interested send me a PM and I will send you the link and crypto key.

Your best defense is having good neighbors. Bad neighbors will make your life very difficult if things go down the terlet.
Totally agree with the good neighbors. I extend that to a community that is good and works together as one.
The most important thing is to gain understanding of the greater picture and rise above the emotional fray. This is why the Bible teachings are critically important in this upcoming turmoil.

Me, I prefer basic books & old timey hard copies. That’s why I print out my prepper reference materials.

That's why it's called prepping. You get the stuff and read it while the gizmos still work so you are ready when they don't.

Bad neighbors will disappear early on. The same thing will likely happen to those known to be very leftist and with a high likelihood of snitching in order to curry favor with governmental types.

Kindles can be had relatively cheap and hold a good long charge. Thousands of books, PDF's and other reference files can be easily stored, and the device re-charged with a solar charger.

The situation in California is quite complicated.
There appears to be massive mental illness among white liberals. When one of them moves to a normal part of the country (ME-NH-VT), it takes them quite a bit of time to adjust to actual reality. I mean, they remain liberals, but a lot of the craziness goes away.
What nobody expected was that the Hispanic majority could USE white liberals as a battering ram to destroy, destroy, destroy - not, as the white liberals imagine, to save the spotted tree frog but to create a true, revolutionary situation so that Bolivarian Socialism could become possible.
Good neighbors are overrated. People change once the SHTF. The only people you can mostly rely on will be family and to a lesser extent close-knit communities who are held together by shared religion and ideology.
Yah, I am seriously considering adopting so my descendants can have a little clan for support once western civilization has fallen and the muhammedans usher in a new dark age...
