Never ascribe to malice, that which can be explained by stupidity.
Sometimes, it really is that simple. A small, not very smart, self involved female was given a badge and a gun because of feminism. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Sadly, it is an innocent man that got the prize.
He must sincerely believe that she is remorseful. Good for him!
Dumbest post of the day. So I cant unilaterally forgive someone? Id love to see the Bible verse youre going to haul out to defend this ridiculous position.
Thanks.
It is a nice sentiment and Christian not want revenge or cruel or unusual punishment.
But he can’t forgive her for murdering his brother.
I understand the intent, which is good and Godly.
Gee whiz. It is a Christian’s duty to forgive even if the receiving has no clue.
I forgive you.
To forgive is divine. A “turn the other cheek” moment. Most people here seem to be “an eye for an eye.”
God said “love your enemies”.
Luke. Right there plain as day. If he repents you must forgive him.
No repentance? No forgiveness.

The scripture is clear that if we are unwilling to forgive those that trespass us, God cannot forgive us...
No we can forgive even murder but only through the power of The Holy Spirit
She did apologize to them.
Got a chapter and verse? That’s an interesting take on the topic.
Luke 17:4. Right there.

Silly phone.... Duplicate.
That is not true!
So...you’re more angry about it than his brother? Very sensitive of you...
Do a little research on the family attorney’s involvement in the Zimmerman case and much will become clear.
“Unless the sinner asks for forgiveness and repents handing it out like a penny candy is decidedly un-Biblical.”
Jesus doesn’t agree with you...
John 8:3-11 King James Version (KJV)
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
NO word on her asking for forgiveness, or repenting afterwards. But maybe Jesus didn’t know all the more arcane sorority rules of the church he started.
Forgiving the repentant is a command, forgiving the unrepentant is a choice.
Should have been manslaughter but the sentence was essentially the same. Normally they give double the time they want the perp to serve because of good time, etc that generally reduces actual time to one half or less. The young lady will go through life with a MURDER conviction not negligent homicide or manslaughter.
Brother seemed like a true Christian.
