We’ve been watching “Country Music”. It’s been very good. I think the final episode airs tonight on PBS. The part about the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band last night was excellent.

My Father’s favorite song was “Life’s Railway to Heaven”. It was also my GGrandfather’s. It was sung at both of their funerals.

I saw a great version on youtube by Johnny Cash, The Carter Family, Earl Skruggs, and the Dirt Band. Johnny really could sing.

Ahh man! I just joined in and sang right along. Maybe I should go upstairs and get the banjo.

That music should make your heart get right with God.

There’s almost as much Greenwich Village as Nashville.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is one of the greatest country rock bands ever. Their lead singer Jeff Hanna is an amazing talent.

I'm reading Greg Laurie's spiritual biography of Johnny Cash right now.

The first song he sang-with his family, as they relocated to a New Deal farm in Arkansas-was I Am Bound For The Promised Land.

That series has been great! Any music fan should watch, even if country isn’t your thing.

I liked their albums when they were getting famous. Then I saw them live in 73 and was blown away. Live they were Golden.

Been watching it, too.

I've got a jukebox full of earworms in my head now - how's THAT for imagery.
