HE was stabbed ONCE in the chest. Not sure how they could have helped.
I was in the maternity ward after having #3 and that’s all that was on the TV.......an absolute media frenzy. Now we see that type of thing all over the internet but it was rare then.
Kinda like watching a scary movie or tv show, huh?
Did these fools think these kids, after 10-12 years of conditioning, would fight against it? Would they possibly step in and help? Hell no, because they aren't getting hurt by helping. They've learned that any action will result in getting into trouble, hurt, or worse for it.
I was an athlete, and a brawler in high school. We had minorities, but no Amish.
And in four years, no deaths, no suicides, etc.

That doesn't make sense. Kids in High School today are required to be totally non-violent and disarmed. If a law abiding student brought a defensive weapon to school they would be immediately prosecuted. A kid who tries to stop a fight is likely to be arrested for assault since they probably could retreat from the fight safely.
It would be unreasonable to expect an unarmed, untrained student to attempt to stop an attack by multiple individuals using one or more knives. You need serious martial arts training to successfully defeat multiple adversaries with at least one having and using a knife if you are unarmed.
So in many cases students record what is happening since that at least provides evidence, and they have grown up in a world where taking pictures and posting them on social media are the actions they have been allowed to take. Nobody ever let them fight, or work to physically defeat someone using violence. So they don't even know what to do. But the criminals of course do know what to do.
Another reason people need to be able to arm themselves, since criminals always will.

Oceanside was a beautiful town when I lived in New York. My husband graduated from there in the mid 80s. So glad we escaped!

They should have been calling the police but that would not have stopped this kid from losing his life. It was 7 on 1 and at least one was armed with a knife.
I would not take on those odds unarmed.
