Well, yeah, some poppy seeds contain small amounts and folks have tested positive for opiates due to poppy seeds. In the late sixties or so, we were visiting family in Poland. I was a kid. Mom and her sister were cooking down raw poppy seeds with molasses and honey to make poppy seed roll. They got fairly wasted.

The scary thing is palmetto bugs smell just like almond extract. Makes me wonder if there is some consumer product out there with a label of beautifully illustrated almond nuts and leaves implying it’s got almonds in it that is actually made from palm roaches.
