RIP.
Didn’t know he was that old.
Great catalog of tunes.
Thanks for all the happy times in the late 70s & 80s.
He wasnt THAT old. Hell, Joe Biden is older than that - in mind and character - but any of us who can recall the intro the Let the Good Times Roll and how groundbreaking their debut album was, is still 15, 18, or 21 in their minds perspective.
In the words ofone of my favorite patients of years ago, a survivor of the winter of 44 in Bastogne, Hell, doc, aint none of us gettin any younger.
I beg to differ.
Ill be 21 for a few more decades at least. Ric Okaseks music helped keep me young beyond my years.

Amen!
One of my husband’s favorite bands. RIP
didn’t know he was that old either
But then again, we used to listen to The Cars on my friend’s portable 8-track player... That is a long time ago....
The Cars were my favorite band for a few years during the 1978-1984 period.
I saw the band in Downtown Crossing (Boston) just as they were becoming famous. They were doing a photo shoot for their debut album apparently. I eventually bought that album at the Strawberries outside Fenway Park a few months later after a Red Sox game.
Really starting to feel my mortality now!
This track is my favorite solo Ric Ocasek Song.
