Anybody Freepers from Baltimore area? Have the squeegees taken over the approaches to the Inner Harbor area?

I live about a mile north of the Baltimore City line. In the ‘80’s and ‘90’s, I worked in downtown Baltimore. There were some squeegee kids at a few intersections around the Inner Harbor. Now I work in the suburbs. I studiously avoid downtown around the Inner Harbor or the two professional ballparks to the west. It is mostly intersections in those areas where the squeegee “kids” hang out. Many seem to be in their late teens to early 30’s but it can be really hard to tell since some 13 year olds are 6’4” with goatees and look like hardened felons with their hoodies up. These turds mainly hassle the out of towners especially those with New Jersey tags in luxo SUV’s. The typical white libs who come to town looking for unicorns.

When approaching Little Italy on E.Baltimore or President St., the young lads are approaching vehicles. My demeanor lets them know to bypass my vehicles...

We visited during the July 4th weekend. The “kids” start slopping up the windshield and expect money. It’s pathetic. Baltimore is a sh*thole. The Aquarium and Harbor was nice but I may never go there again. Most of Eastern Maryland is ghetto and illegal third world. D.C. is quite the sh*thole also outside of Federal property and exclusive neighborhoods.

I live just outside the city limits, but inside the beltway. I work and worship downtown. The squeegee kids are a real problem. And they are a threat.

The previous mayor ( Pugh who resigned after her Happy Holly book half-million dollar + scam was exposed) paid city employees to watch at some of the busiest intersections. It was to make sure the “squeegee kids” did not get to the vandalism stage. Several Baltimore city politicians have stated that these “kids” just want to earn some money. Now that the city has been exposed to the nation as very trashy, why doesn’t the city organize trash-pickup crews using these same kids. That would be actual useful work and helpful.

. It is very intimidating to have someone get very close to your side window with a bucket of soapy water and a squeegee. Somehow the city doesn’t seem to get the correlation between driver intimidation and a decrease in attendance at various city attractions.
