Two months on since they met in the Gold Cup final, the U.S. men's national team (USMNT) and Mexico revive their rivalry on Friday night.
Jonathan dos Santos scored the only goal of the game as El Tri regained the trophy on U.S. soil.
The two teams haven't played since and will in all likelihood look vastly different on Friday, with USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter and his counterpart Gerardo Martino set to refresh their rosters.

It would have been nice to have won the Gold Cup. God knows, the USMNT had their chances. There’s no trophy or title at stake here - but a win would be nice.
USA!
It's never a friendly. Mexico (and especially their fans) take it way too seriously.
must be nice to always have home-field advantage...
Uhm-m-m ... which US Men’s soccer group recently stated they would not carry the US flag because it represents racism?
Soccer has a very fragile hold on a very tiny market share here in the USA. Political positions like the one mentioned above will kill any aspirations soccer may have regarding being a growth sport.
It's never home field advantage for USMNT. I saw these two play at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas some years ago. We were very much the visiting team that day.
Yep ... typical MexicoNT fans. They’re some of the worst.
Currently showing on ESPN2 !
Team USA needs umbrellas for the urine filled bottles that Mexican fans like to pour over their heads.
That. Was. WILD. 😱
