Feminism is CANCER.
Sounds like over hyped MSM talk to me trying to get Americans to send $$$$.
I always go by:
“Have I ever seen anything like this in all my world travels?”
I have a very trusted friend who tells me Lebanon is where the rich Saudi keep their mistresses.
The buying by rich Arabs shown in “Taken” is real.
Probably real in parts of Eastern Europe.
Parts of Africa sells their pre-teen girls.
Other than that and Thailand, I’d say its over hyped.
The common node (other than Thailand) is Muslims.
Yep. If you just give me your money...
A lot of the methodolgy for collecting and processing this kind of stat comes as a requirment or precondition for getting foreign aid, credit, and investment.
So the figures are more accurate now than they were even 30 years ago.
When there's a disparity running into the 10's or 100's of millions between males and females, it's --- unsurprisingly --- noticeable.
And the consequences for society are extremely disruptive.
The number of native American Indian women missing or murdered is much higher than the rest of the USA percentage-wise. Culture no doubt plays a part. I recall some movie about women in Mexico(?) or some other country in S. America going missing. It was based on true events - it was unbelievable the numbers of girls and women gone.
Figures going back centuries in societies that kept records --- whether through baptismal records documenting infants, or citywide effort like the London Bills of Mortality going back to the 1600's --- show that male births tend to outpace female births by a bit (~106:100). This means that at birth on average, there are 106 males for every 100 females.
That tends to even out by adolescence, since males have a higher death rate at every age. Male babies, boys and men are at a higher risk of dying than women not only due to sex differentials in genetic and congenital abnormalities and various diseases, but also due to higher risk from external causes (accidents, injuries, violence, etc.)
The huge preponderance of male deaths from war has to be factored in (annihilating males at their most fertile age, 18-35), crop failure, floods and famine, mass die-offs due to bacterial or viral epidemics, etc.
Bottom line, despite higher male death rates from almost every reportable cause, there are places where males still outnumber females, and it's getting more lopsided. A Indian government survey conducted recently in 132 villages in Uttarkashi revealed that none of the 216 children born in those villages over three months were girls. That's 216 male births, zero female births.
Pretty obvious.

I found 8,000 more (per year) missing women in India.
India burning brides and ancient practice is on the rise

Snip:
She survived three days, enough time to describe to police how she came to be doused in kerosene by her mother-in-law and set alight by her husband.
Bride-burning, as this type of crime is most commonly referred to, accounts for the death of at least one woman every hour in India, more than 8000 women a year.
“We also call it dowry death,” says Donna Fernandes, the founder of Vimochana, a women’s rights organisation established in Bangalore in 1975 with the aim of preventing violent against women.
“The husband’s family believes they have not received enough money for their son at the time of the wedding, perhaps because they are of a higher caste or some such reason, and that’s when the harassment starts.”
And the UniParty want that culture to displace the American one.
