Bill Maher warned Democrats this week that they are "blowing" their chance to beat President Trump in 2020 by "coming across as unserious people who are going to take away all your money so migrants from Honduras can go to college for free and get a major in 'America sucks.'"

He’s got the order of events wrong.
Democrats embraced left-wing extremism - and corruption on a scale the world has never before seen - and in direct response the electorate voted for Trump.
Trump is a response. He is a weapon against declared enemies of the people. That’s all he is. He’s not a messiah. And he never would have gotten within a hundred miles of the Presidency without Democrats taking transgenders seriously and other are you f-ing kidding me level absurdities.

Does he mean to imply that the Democrats aren’t really Left-Wing Extremists, but pretending to be? Get real Bill.
The Clintons had the political discipline to pretend to be somewhat moderate in public, while loading the cabinet departments with leftist activists, especially leftist lawyers. The current group are emboldened to show their true colors. They have probably jumped the gun — the country isn’t entirely rotten yet.
Seems more appropriate.

Has Bill Maher ever been any kind of influence that helped to determine the outcome of any election or of any legislation? Some people don’t deserve the publicity or respect that comes from merely mentioning them.
Maher is telling them to lie about their objectives in order to be elected.
He seems committed to the Dems almost entirely because of his loathing for Christians. Everything else takes a back seat to that. Which makes him something of a nutjob, just a different sort of nutjob than Sanders, Warren etc. There's quite a few people like him out there IMO.
Agreed. There are a lot of people like him, especially in entertainment, who hate Christianity. They imagine it to ve repressive and prudish, and we get “The handmaid’s tale” and “The book of mormon.” And yet the truly bigoted and intolerant religion - Islam- they don’t hate that at all.
