Agree. It looked like a possible pit bull. Whatever the breed, it was in public and unrestrained.

Having personally been the victim of an unprovoked attacked by a neighbors “friendly” pit bull I now assume all to be walking time bombs.

Don’t blame the officer for shooting the dog but he definitely didn’t take appropriate care of his possible stray bullets.

I believe the officer was probably off balance. He was walking backwards while taking his gun out of his holster, and he had to act fast as there was a barking dog barreling down on him with great speed.

Nothing this Cop did was intentional as he was calling out repeatedly to the woman and received no answer back. He was there to help her, not hurt her. It was an unfortunate sequence of events that ended in tragedy. One lady dead and one Cop’s career most likely ruined.
