Honestly, with all due respect, I do not care what Java spit out. When you say 2(2+2) in math, the second set of parenthesis or brackets or whatever you want to use are assumed. They never separate. As I said before, the correct, clarified way to write this problem is 8 / (2(2+2)). Again, turn it into a fraction and solve. Remember all division are fractions. This will lead you to the correct answer. Oh, and the Java writing was probably done by kids brought up on common core math......
