I love my father dearly. He had a father who wrote him out of his live and did his damndest to ensure that not happen to me. Its taken me over twenty years to fully understand the anguish he suffered in his own life. I just see many of my own, in life and online, suffer from the lack of such a presence.

Family and freedom. Two things worth fighting for. Killing for. And dying for. I hope my terrible attempt at humor didn't offend you (I really should leave that stuff to Bagster.)
Keep up the good work of educating yourself and preparing yourself for your future. It's young men like you make me proud to be an American.

That is very different from ‘not providing an inheritance.’ It is a very sad thing. I see a lot of Millennials+ doing the reverse - some even while living in their parent’s house - which is also a very sad thing. I’m seeing some get to the point where they are figuring it out and reversing it, but their parents are now in a different part of their lives and a lot has been lost even after reconnecting.
I’ve also seen a lot of daughters especially go off to college and come back just plain crazy (both functional and diagnostically) - with the rate accelerating *greatly* in the past 5 years.
