Nissan cars and trucks are kinda ugly and boring.
They have made some pretty good quality stuff in the past but there styling has been a little off from mainstream for a while at least in my opinion.
Off Topic:
I noticed your pen name of Romans Nine.
Now you have me curious of what it says.
Is that in the Old or New Testament?
Or maybe it doesn’t refer to a Bible note @ all.
Great point. Its pickups are ugly and they’ve yet to do much about the body style. Everyone else making trucks, makes vehicles that look like trucks which is what people want. On a side note, my buddy has a Titan and is closing in on 300k miles and nary a problem. His dealership wants to buy it from him, but he won’t sell it.
I like that Nissan’s sedans at least look like they were designed over 10 years ago. I don’t like the funky look that Toyota and some other makers have recently adopted.
I recently needed to rent a car and all they had left was a Nissan Rogue. I was very underwhelmed by the lack of response and power and was glad to turn it in after a couple days. It’s a small SUV that reminded me of driving a minivan, yuck.
Nissan has made a couple of pretty good motors in the past. Not as good as Honda and Toyota, of course.
The cars? Meh.
The only memorable vehicles are the 280Z/300Z and the Pathfinder and maybe the Altima but only because of all the commercials for it.
Their quality was ok but they tended to make changes mid year which drove parts guys and mechanics crazy. I’m a bit of a car guy and can’t think of any engine that had any fame. Toyota trucks had the 20R and 22R that are legendary due to their reliability and ease to work on. Toyotas always reminded my of working on a Chevy for some reason.
