Female Runner Tackles Alleged Flasher on Massachusetts Running Path

Massachusetts State Police are on the lookout for a man who reportedly flashed a woman while she was jogging on a public trail.
The incident took place around 7:30 a.m. on July 18 along the Memorial Drive in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The suspect allegedly exposed himself the to victim who was running in the opposite direction, according to the press release.
A video of the incident that was released by police shows the moments after the alleged flashing when two appear to exchange words as they pass one another, running in opposite directions. Seconds later, the victim turns around to confront the man.
“It was not his lucky day, because I just decided it was not going to happen,” the woman, who said she was a former member of the Israeli military, told the local ABC affiliate afterward. “I decided to chase him down.”
Police say that the woman was able to tackle the suspect to ground. She asked passersby for help, but no one stepped forward.

And no man — are there actual MEN in Cambridge, Mass anymore? — responded to her plea for help. She’s SINGLE* — any man who stepped up could have been the one to “get the girl” as it were.
*She has a kid, so I fully expect somebody on here to eventually point out how horrible a prospect that makes her.

Worst street harassment I ever experienced was in Massachusetts. Worst lonely trails in the woods harassment too.
I lost my temper twice - threw a drunk’s hat in a puddle, and tackled a boy off a bicycle.
I was flashed and when I went to the nearest house - pre-cellphone days- the woman there would not call the police for me.
Massachusetts makes New Jersey look sane.
