This is not ‘my high horse’.....this is the Word of God...
Tell God to ‘get off His ‘high horse’....
I’m just telling you what is written in the Word of God concerning how HIS Name is used.
I did not hear him mention the Lord Jesus Christ in Vain, Nor Jehovah, Elohim, El-Shaddai, or Yahweh. god little g-o-d is not our creator’s name.
I give him pass.
“President Trump repeatedly takes the Lords name in vain tonight.”
Who doesn’t? The Lord understands. Chill.
Get off your high horse
map, I have to side with Revelation David on this. I hope the President will concede and apologize for his poor choice of words especially this. I’m no prude and been mad enough to put out a string of bad words myself but I have to draw the line on God’s name in vain. I usually live and let live but when anyone around me uses those words, I have to speak up......no offense but he’s right.....
Exactly. That’s all we need is the “President Trump Sin Police”; the poster doesn’t even know when to properly capitalize “He” and “Lord”.
Hey Revelation David: STFU.
Grow up!
I missed the rally on TV. Whats all the fuss about? What exactly did POTUS say thats so terrible?
Exactly!
Apparently, most FReepers on this thread have no problem with the fact that our use of language in public venues, has deteriorated terribly. Curse words which used to have been almost NEVER used in public, are now commonly used.. Those of us who were taught not to curse, and taught the same to our children, now just must stand by and watch standards fall. It’s a sign of the times, just as many social mores have declined drastically. Personally, I think it diminishes the Office, for POTUS to use coarse or blasphemous language in public. What is said in private is between him and whomever he’s talking with, but just as men used never to curse in front of women, even scoundrels just did NOT curse in public. (Yes, I know -— plenty of women nowadays turn the air around them blue on a regular basis). It’s the frog in the pot phenomenon; we become jaded after hearing it so often, nowadays. That does NOT make it okay, though. And for the record, anyone who has a relationship with the LORD, knows that while he is merciful and forgiving, He does NOT change His Word, His laws, or His opinion of sin. Snipe at me all you want -— my desire is to please God, not man.
