I consider using God’s name in vain is when you do evil and then say you did it for the Lord. Like Islam does everyday.

map, I have to side with Revelation David on this. I hope the President will concede and apologize for his poor choice of words especially this. I’m no prude and been mad enough to put out a string of bad words myself but I have to draw the line on God’s name in vain. I usually live and let live but when anyone around me uses those words, I have to speak up......no offense but he’s right.....

You made your point. Now let it sit. You will not change anybody’s mind and you have made a good point and you’ve done your job. Forgive President Trump because I’d be willing to bet he’s already apologized to God for it and probably didn’t realize he did it. Let it go. I believe God probably already has. Quite literally I believe God can defend himself and he doesn’t need our help... you have done plenty already. Just rest. Remember too, and I am very guilty of this a lot, God does not like sarcasm as it is a form of dishonesty.
