Internet Slowdown Today?

Is it just me or has the internet experienced experience a big slowdown since yesterday afternoon?

Right now trying to upload a YouTube video and it is taking forever. Five minutes in and still at 1 percent uploaded.

VERY SLOW for me too since yesterday. I was thinking that my computer had a virus. I also on Facebook yesterday that many people said they were having problems with images loading.

I only hear of problems with the big social media oligarchs. Draw your own conclusions.

I thought it was my computer. Didn’t think too much of it but there definitely was a slowdown, also early this morning.

Seems OK right now.

YouTube seems to be working OK for me, but I know that Fakebook and a few other social sites have been having problems over the past few days.

I might just shut down my YouTube upload because at the rate it is going, it could take until this afternoon for it to upload. Anyway, I did notice the internet getting very slow starting yesterday afternoon.

p.s. Wasn't that Russian sub cutting internet cables?

All of a sudden the upload speed at YouTube picked up.

Why would the Russians want to cut our internet cables? Wouldn’t the smart thing be to tap into them? I know we did that with our own submarines during the Cold War when we tapped into the cable line between Vladivostok and Siberia.

I had big slowdowns yesterday (on FR, Breitbart, Lowes, etc.)

Gave up FB for their communist leanings & wouldn’t touch Google for any amount of $$$, since I learned what it was doing to some family living temporarily in China!!

Since then, learned they (Google, that is) liked it so much (controlling people) they do it to their fellow US citizens’

Its always slow for me. I can’t tell when the Internet is slow or overloaded; its always the same. It’s the benefits of living in the middle of nowhere where the largest city is a 2 and a half hour drive away.
