While many companies support abortion and give hundreds of thousands of dollars to Planned Parenthood, fast food giant Wendys is going in a completely different direction.
Watch the video:
Dave Thomas, Wendys founder, was adopted at 6-weeks old, and he devoted his life to saving children in need.

That is a fantastic idea! A lot of other companies will kick themselves for not being the first to try it out.
People forget about all the unadopted children in America right now. Most couples want an infant.
Great to know theres another company besides Chick-fil-A that I can add to the patronize list. The boycott list is depressingly long by comparison.
Dave Thomas was big on adoption. He was adopted as an infant, he grew to be upstanding. Good man he was. (founder of Wendy’s)
Nothing less than murder can satisfy democrats.
Wendy herself is Dave Thomas’ biological daughter.
Let us not forget that Steve Jobs was also adopted, and went on to great things.
Now that the word is out that Wendy’s supports rescuing children rather than killing them, all the progressives will boycott and try and restrict where Wendy’s can open new restaurants.
I was glad to hear that. I go a few times a month for lunch. I love the #6 Medium and a mixed berry punch.
He really was a good man.
I don't know of his personal politics, but he was passionate about adoption.
And for good reason.
His adoptive family must have instilled great values in him.
And kudos to his biologic mom for loving him enough to give him up for adoption.
His mom(s) literally changed the world.
Wendy’s makes my favorite hamburger and fries.
This is just more reason to justify my hunger for a real Dave’s double, Large fry, and a small soda.
It’s good to see Wendy’s is continuing this long after David Thomas has passed. A great legacy.
Hard to top the Baconator!
Amen!
“Dave Thomas, Wendys founder, was adopted at 6-weeks old, and he devoted his life to saving children in need.”
Wow, what a great man. I had no idea he was devoted to saving children.
Will the leftists now boycott Wendy’s and force them off campuses and out of airports?
Love the salads.
Probably. They will get sneered at for sure. Pathetic Apollyon followers who enlisted themselves into the locust army.
Their chili is “the bomb”. If you order it, make sure to add onions and cheese. They have it on the menu year round because there are days in the spring and summer when a bowl of chili just “hits the spot”. We had a day like that in eastern NC yesterday. It was cloudy and damp with a high of 70 degrees.
That is fantastic.
“His adoptive family must have instilled great values in him.”
Unfortunately his adoptive mother died when Dave was five. His father traveled the country looking for work, uprooting Dave every two or three years. Dave gave credit to his maternal grandmother for teaching him to treat others well and with respect.
At age fifteen Dave was in Fort Wayne, IN when his father decided to move again. Dave decided to stay, quit school and keep working at the restaurant he was employed at.
He was there when Colonel Harlan Sanders came through driving a white Cadillac convertible trying to sell his KFC franchises to established restaurants. The family he was working for eventually bought in and ended up owning a number of franchises.
Around that time young Dave gave the older Sanders some great advice: simplify the menu, have a signature item and do your own commercials.
In the mid 60’s Dave was sent to Columbus, Ohio to straighten out four KFC locations. By the late 60’s they were booming and Dave sold his interest in them back to Sanders. At a nice profit.
He was one of the investors that founded Arthur Treachers but left that in 1968 to start Wendy’s.
He started a burger business because Dave Thomas really, really liked hamburgers and named the business after his oldest daughter Melinda Lou Thomas.
What?
No, Dave never had a daughter named Wendy. The name came about because when the little Melinda Lou tried to say her name it came out Wenda. Dave figured Wendy sounded better for a burger business and the rest is history.
Dave did finally get his high school diploma in 1993 when he took and passed the GED exam.
Dave Thomas and Harlan Sanders were friends and worked closely together at KFC but were polar opposites.
If Sanders caught a franchisee not adhering to KFC standards he would often cuss like a sailor, personally remove all franchise equipment and throw it in his Cadillac.
Dave was a mellower type more likely to work with the wayward franchisees to correct their problems.
The Dave Thomas we saw in his Wendy’s commercials was the real guy.
