What happened to Free Speech?
excerpt:
Georgia Clark, a veteran high school English teacher in Fort Worth, had an urgent request for President Trump: She needed help pulling undocumented immigrants from her school.Mr. President, Fort Worth Independent School District is loaded with illegal students from Mexico, Clark wrote May 17 on her now-deleted Twitter account, @Rebecca1939. Anything you can do to remove the illegals from Fort Worth would be greatly appreciated, she wrote in another tweet.
Clark was careful in her approach, she believed, and told the president she needed guarantees her identity would be protected when action was taken. Texas will not protect whistle blowers. The Mexicans refuse to honor our flag, she wrote.
Seems she might have a 1st Amendment case here. The FW ISD is a public institution.
This is likely one of many teachers that are being purged for their beliefs
How did the district find out who made the tweet....?
Who ratted out the teacher?
How did the district confirm the teacher’s identity?
Did Twitter cough up the info?
I hope this teacher has Nick Sandman’s attorney’s number.
Freaking leftist A-holes.
But I must reiterate. Those who play on social media and use their own names should expect this sort of thing. Say your peace when youve decided this is the hill your ready to die on. And that day may be coming soon. But dont be surprised when the worst happens.
Its not a threat of violence. Its made in her own time.
Im not sure a government agency would have the right to impose a restriction on her speech, just like they cant make her join a union.
So sue lady. Sue them into poverty. Its not like the money is used to help American citizen students.
Will be an enclave in the next war that will have to be dealt with
I live in the same County as FW and this really disgusts me!
FW voters should replace those ISD members who fired this teacher for telling the truth.
Sounds a lot like fascism to me.
Social media is an asymmetric weapon. We need to treat as such.
A shortened version of my article on Plyler v. Doe appeared in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, December 18, 1995, at page 6: https://tinyurl.com/y5wcn7ec
“This makes me ashamed to be a Texan and should send a chill up the spine of anyone who reads it......”
No, this is a signal for conservatives to get off their butts and show up at the next schoolboard meeting 1,000 strong. Then read these Nazis the riot act, followed by voting the nazis off the schoolboard.
If they can’t do that, then enjoy a jackboot in your faces.
Why doesn’t the state or feds provide low interest loans to the parents of these illegals so they can pay for their childrens education to give them a bit of pride and self worth so they don’t have to freeload off the taxpayers?
Why is that tweet controversial?
Looks to me like someone’s working real hard to recreate a mass market for buggy whips.
