Glad to see most Freepers are not going to be led astray even if our president comes down on the wrong side of this issue. It’s disappointing that he does not recognize the threat of sexual perversion to civilization. In my opinion, the LGBT movement is a greater threat to our nation than even illegal immigration, and that’s a huge threat. Both are existential threats really.
The president needs our prayers.
We should not use our national influence to get other nations to lower their standards on this matter. We need to raise our own. While I believe ALL human beings should be treated with love, compassion, and mercy to the degree possible, we must remain firm in our opposition to behaviors that destroy families which are the bedrock of civilization.
This is a great move on his part. Islamic based countries are the ONLY ones that make homosexuality criminalized.
As long as he doesn't say the word "Islam" he is slamming Islamic countries and getting the left to back him.

Buggery perhaps should be decriminalized in places where people are hanged or thrown off buildings for it, but it doesn’t make it any less wrong.
1. They are entitled to exactly the same objective rights as others. They are not entitled to any kind of special subjective privileges masqueraded as rights.
2. We must reject communistic equality of outcome (free to marry the one you love) and restore conservative equality of opportunity (free to marry a person of the opposite sex, of the age of consent, and of not too close a blood relation).
3. There is absolutely no such thing as homosexuality. Sexuality by definition derives meaning from biological reproduction. Two persons of the same sex cannot naturally reproduce. What occurs between them is erotic, and they are properly called homoerotic.
4. We must take back the language from the left. We have allowed them to define the terms of the debate, thereby yielding precious philosophical territory to them before any argument takes place.
As others have mentioned, there’s a difference between throwing gays in jail or worse and embracing the homosexual agenda. Unfortunately, if you’re arguing against the former, our society forces you to accept the latter as well.

By asking the world to decriminalize homosexuality, he’s highlighting Muslim laws in Muslim countries, something the liberal media refuses to do.
PRESIDENT TRUMP can’t have it both ways, LGBTQ and religious freedom do not mix.

Trump recognizes the huge personal benefit he has enjoyed owing to the decriminalization of adultery and other fornication. Those relatively recent changes have had a huge effect on our society.
Unfortunately, not many folks fear the judgment of God on any nation that approves homosexuality. But it's coming.
God turned "the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes [and] condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly….", whether they believe it or not. (2 Peter 2.6)
This is obviously aimed at Islam and an attempt to divide two factions of the left. Great chess move.
