[[he just does not think this “gay agenda” is any kind of big deal. ]]

All the innocent victims of aids would disagree- (I’m talking about doctors who got it via fluids and needles, nurses too, drug addicts, blood transfusion victims- etc- The kids that get raped by pedo homosexuals and wind up with aids- known aids carriers not telling their one night stands (of which there are literally 1000’s per many gay people)-) It’s a big deal to them- the ones that are still alive and suffering that is-

“Still, they will ‘receive in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.’”

While I agree with your position, the phrase you put in quotes is not what the biblical passage in Romans 1 says.

Romans 1:27
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

This is a profound statement from the Bible. While it is true that all sexual immorality—homosexual, hetero-sexual, or otherwise—will be judged by God, Paul asserts in this passage that homosexual desires ARE themselves a judgment from God. This judgment, along with others, such as futility, are examples of God’s righteous judgment on individuals or societies that do not honor Him as He deserves to be honored.

Mankind’s failure to give God honor, exchanging God’s glory for other things, and trading the truth of God for the lie (i.e. we can be our own gods) comprise the “error” Paul has described up to this point in the chapter. It is the downward spiral into depravity. If there is no repentance, the next stage of depravity beyond homosexual desires and conduct is the attempt to censor and silence anything to do with God, leading to God’s final “turning over” to a reprobate or debased mind.

In context Paul is working toward an argument that we are all guilty in God’s eyes and need redemption, not just those who have engaged in illicit sexual activity. And this message offers hope for everyone, including homosexuals. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 6:11, “such were some of you, but you are washed... [and] sanctified... [and] justified.” (Homosexuals were in the list in the preceding two verses which describes types of people who, if they continue in their unregenerate state, will not enter the kingdom of Heaven.)

This is a great move on his part. Islamic based countries are the ONLY ones that make homosexuality criminalized.

As long as he doesn't say the word "Islam" he is slamming Islamic countries and getting the left to back him.

This is brilliant.

I believe he is on the right path here and I completely agree with you that sexual perversion of civilization is a major problem.

Though sexuality should not be criminalized. Helped but not criminalized.

I looked at pix from the Fulsom street parade and decided that all we need do is wait for the finger of God.

“Though sexuality should not be criminalized. Helped but not criminalized.”

How is that working out for us?

There has been a gradual erosion of morality in our society going back many years, even beyond our lifetimes, actually. But even after the sexual revolution of the 60s, homosexuality was widely regarded as disordered.

“Decriminalization” is the camel’s nose in the tent. It asks to merely respect everyone’s right to privacy (which we do). It is justified in the same way abortion is justified: consent, privacy. But it never stays private. There are clubs and groups and organizations and services and on and on. Eventually it leads to what we have today—the LGBT waging an all-out war against the traditional family unit as the building block of civilization.

Let’s apply this logic to other things that might flourish under the penumbra of privacy. Should people be able to develop weaponized strains of anthrax in their garage? How about pipe bombs? Should people be free to experiment with building explosive devices in the privacy of their own homes? How about nuclear weapons?

The way to respond to a close friend or family member who struggles with homosexual attraction is with compassion, encouraging them to seek healing. The same is true if you have friends or family who are in trouble with the law for theft, robbery, or even murder. This does not change that the laws prohibiting these things are just. I wouldn’t say we need to decriminalize theft, robbery, or murder because those who do these things are human too and need to be loved.

What keeps people from theft and robbery? Just look at what happens when hurricanes or other natural disasters strike. You get looters. We need laws with consequences in order to limit these things. Likewise, we need criminal laws prohibiting certain destructive sexual conduct. These protect society and individuals. Even homosexuals themselves are better off in a society that prohibits their sexual behavior. Some might ask what possible benefit a homosexual might get from such sex acts being a capital offense in Iran. Well, for one thing they become much less likely to commit these offenses. Historically, even in nations where homosexual sex acts have resulted in the death penalty, it has been extremely rare.

Let’s be clear, homosexuals die as a result of their lifestyle far more frequently than they EVER did due to it being a capital crime. This perversion spreads disease and misery. It is an unquenchable lust that is never satisfied, and it leads to further sexual acting out with rape, kidnapping, murder, torture, and these things include defenseless children.

Like abortion, there are so many lies that prop up arguments for legalization / decriminalization. For example, here are some of the big lies:

No one is harmed by homosexual behavior.
Homosexuals can find happiness by following their sexual desires to engage in sex acts with members of the same sex.
Homosexuals are a type of person rather than a type of behavior.
Homosexuality is predetermined genetically.
Homosexual attraction is fixed and can not be changed by therapy and counseling.
Homosexual attraction is analogous to heterosexual attraction.

None of these claims are true.

Buggery perhaps should be decriminalized in places where people are hanged or thrown off buildings for it, but it doesn’t make it any less wrong.

1. They are entitled to exactly the same objective rights as others. They are not entitled to any kind of special subjective privileges masqueraded as rights.

2. We must reject communistic equality of outcome (free to marry the one you love) and restore conservative equality of opportunity (free to marry a person of the opposite sex, of the age of consent, and of not too close a blood relation).

3. There is absolutely no such thing as homosexuality. Sexuality by definition derives meaning from biological reproduction. Two persons of the same sex cannot naturally reproduce. What occurs between them is erotic, and they are properly called homoerotic.

4. We must take back the language from the left. We have allowed them to define the terms of the debate, thereby yielding precious philosophical territory to them before any argument takes place.

As others have mentioned, there’s a difference between throwing gays in jail or worse and embracing the homosexual agenda. Unfortunately, if you’re arguing against the former, our society forces you to accept the latter as well.

Sorry Trump don’t agree. I don’t wish to see this criminalized but neither do I agree with trying to normalize it.

IMHO

During his civilian career citizen Trump employed anyone who worked hard regardless of race, creed, or sexual orientation. The desired effect, the end result (the bottom line) was the goal. On time and under budget was always sought after, and not always achieved. Achievers were sought after and under achievers were kept go.

I have worked for people very similar to citizen Trump. You give 100% and if your disposition and temperament are suited to that workplace environment, you thrived.

Today’s Donald Trump hasn’t changed. He still expects the desired effect. How one chooses to achieve orgasm doesn’t come into play.

By asking the world to decriminalize homosexuality, he’s highlighting Muslim laws in Muslim countries, something the liberal media refuses to do.

Yes it does, when gay hiring quotas become law. That’s the problem — the radical LGBTQ political and legal agenda.

Too many “conservatives” are apathetic and blase on this matter — saying, oh who cares about what goes on in the bedroom. The radical leftists do care and try to shut down our religious rights — freedom of speech, association, etc.
