He wasn’t even born until 10 years after the war ended. He knows nothing of the world in those days.
I took a US History class in college back in 1984 or so. During one of the lectures the professor said something about “4-F.” Apparently he got a classroom full of blank faces looking back at him, because he asked how many of us knew what 4-F meant.
I think maybe 4 or 5 of us out of 30 to 40 raised our hands. I wasn’t much older than most of the other students, but I was one of the few who knew. My brother’s number came up in 1968 or 69 and he went for his physical; he came back with 4-F status. IIRC it was his blood pressure (it certainly wasn’t because our family had any pull or influence!)
I’d be surprised if many people under 55 or 60 have a clue what “4-F” means.
