---SNIP--- Why are Democrats holding back? There is one explanation that makes some sense: They believe that Robert Mueller, the special counsel investigating Trump, will issue a report very soon, and they want to learn whats in it before starting a fight over the tax returns. A Mueller report could include some of the same information in those tax returns.

Solicitation: Solicitation is an inchoate crime that involves seeking out another person to engage in a criminal act. A defendant may be charged with solicitation if he or she requests or induces another person to commit an act that would amount to a felony. The two elements of solicitation are the intent to have someone else commit a crime and an act committed in furtherance of convincing another person to commit a crime.
I understand they are tax documents, not returns.
We could not care any less.
late eighties and early nineties
I dont care about the taxes but I care that once again it looks like the IRS being used as a political weapon.
Obama was elected and re-elected without providing
his college transcripts. Many people like me didn’t
give two dead flys about Obama’s grades. What I do
care about is whether or not he depicted himself as
an American citizen on his applications for acceptance.
I’ve heard he may have declared himself something
other than an American citizen. My concerns and those
of other voters were not important enough to prevent
his election. And, once he was elected there was
absolutely no chance that his transcripts would
ever be released through a normal process.
The same is true for President Trump and his taxes.
He was elected without releasing his tax information
so the voters have spoken. Unless he has committed
a crime the Democrats have no claim on his tax info.
You don’t get to do that after the fact. If they want
to play the never ending investigation game then they
best be prepared to suffer the same consequences
every time a Democrat is elected president.
So true. well posted.
