Thanks, TIK. There has been a recent case of measles here in Massachusetts. All of these diseases we are seeing, some for the first time in most of our lives, are definitely of concern.
Don’t worry....it not the vaccines........
More and more anti-Vaxers not immunizing their kids.
More kids getting more infectious diseases.
Gee. There must be some corollary here. I wonder what it could be?
Interesting. Years ago, when the previous occupant of the White House opened the flood gates on the southern border, diseases that haven’t been seen in decades, or more, started showing up. Be curious to know if the locations where these diseases are making a comeback, have recently received some new residents.
A lot of infectious agents out there (viruses, prion, etc) we know very little about! They and the ones we do know something about are not necessarily static!
scary
That's a fair question. Oh, sorry. I should have said that at one time it was a fair question. Now it's "hate speech". Anyway...
Then:
Now:
The CDC and medical community still don't know the cause, best information is that it might be caused by an entrovirus which has mutated, but they don't know for sure.
It begins with symptoms of a cold: Fever, and then spreading paralysis
The source remains unknown.
However, it is beginning to show up world-wide.
NO MORE THIRD WORLD KIDS, NO MORE THIRD WORLD PEOPLE ... PERIOD !
Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM) is a variant or sub-type of transverse myelitis.
Transverse myelitis is listed on the package inserts as a possible side effect of the MMr and Polio vaccines.
While you can argue that vaccines are safe and effective and have prevented diseases and saved lives, I would offer that they have also caused illness, even the very illness they seek to prevent, killed and damaged lives, often permanently.
I wonder if the case you speak of was a case of wild measles or atypical measles (vaccine induced)?
“More and more anti-Vaxers not immunizing their kids. More kids getting more infectious diseases. Gee. There must be some corollary here. I wonder what it could be?”
Add disease-ridden Third Worlders crawling all over the place and you’ve got yourself new epidemics of diseases we HAD gotten rid of in the USA!
It’s madness!
See tagline.
That was the whole thing with the Kenny therapy (basically, swimming). My mother had polio as a child and survived it. She could breathe but couldnt walk...my grandfather, who was a fisherman in New England, tied her to the back of the boat in the harbor and had her swim, that is, try to move her arms and legs. This was an old French treatment for paralysis, incidentallly.
After a year, she was walking again.
Sister Kenny was from Australia and self-trained but observant and saw what worked.
Wear gloves.
More and more people coming from places where they literally shit in the streets, where sanitation and hygiene are new ideas to them, is overwhelmingly the more likely explanation. It certainly is for the measles scare.
