Many local “farmers” markets are full of resellers. Ask who picked the produce, who milked the cows, etc. - surprising really. I found many to be worse than retailers.

We stopped going to our so called local market for that reason.
We go to three local farmers stands/markets and get most of what we got at our farmer’s market. Their produce, eggs and whatever, are about as fresh as if we lived on the farm/ranches. Their prices are better than the farmer’s market.
