Seriously, the only superhero version that truly nailed the absurdity of the genre had to have been the tv batman. That show was made to make people laugh, and greatly succeeded.

That show was made to make people laugh, and greatly succeeded.I remember watching Superman in the 50's. On one episode he stood there with his hands on his hips while the bad guy emptied his pistol at Superman's chest. Then the bad guy threw his empty gun at Superman, who proceeded to duck.
