It seems De Niro, Pacino, Pesci, and Scorsese have a movie coming out in the Fall of 2019 on the killing of Jimmy Hoffa.
The last time these guys worked on a film was "Casino" in 1995. Although Al Pacino was not in that film.
I was astounded to read that the original budget was $125 Million and has sense gone to $175 Million and this isn't a action or comic book film. How can that kind of money be spent on a film about Hoffa being killed when there have been two previous films done on this by Sylvester Stallone and Jack Nicholson.
Someone at some studio must have been out of their minds to Greenlight a film like this with that kind of budget. I just don't see the attraction.
DeNiro, Pacino and Pesci are pretty long in the tooth trying to do a film like this. Given DeNiro and his politics he has already blown off half the audience for this already.
I doubt I will see this and I can't see anything but a Box Office Failure for this film with that kind of budget. They would have gross about $400 Million just to break even.
Well looks this is the Swan Song for De Niro and Pacino, a disaster waiting to happen.
That Joe Pesci, he’s a funny guy.
De Niro is dead to me.
The person who will bring this all together is Scorcese...one of the best directors of all time.
I will see this movie.
Ha Ha. Great.
DiNiro can kiss my @##$&##*. Nasty looking thing can rot.
Recommend the book “I Heard You Paint Houses “
Very credible. (and an excellent read)
Wonder if Slow Joe Biden will see this film. I cant recall the specific details but Slow Joe was supposed to have been bankrolled by the Mafia boss who had Hoffa killed
“You talkin’ to me?”
“Hey I’m walkin’ here”
Two of the best lines ever delivered
I will never see this thanks to that POS DuhNiro. Can you imagine what would happen if a celebretard got on stage at an awards show and the first words that came out of his mouth was “F Obama”?? His career would be over. But it’s Ok to say that about Trump? I say F DuhNiro.
Have to agree. Al Pacino has been my favorite actor for many years. But would I pay to see him today? No, he’s too damned old. The actors who’ve aged most successfully, IMO, are Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, and Clint Eastwood.
I’m guessing that in this movie Hoffa’s disappearance will be blamed on Donald Trump.
I like all the mob movies and don’t tire of them somehow. I won’t bother to see this in the theatre but will check it out when it makes its way to netflix or something.
Be interesting to see if De Niro becomes box office poison.
It’s on my wishlist.
Previous Story about Robert DeNiro. Personally I hope this story makes him famous. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3725881/posts
It's going straight to Netflix, with a brief theatrical release just for Oscar eligibility.
On a related note, have Pacino and Scorsese ever worked together? I'm scratching my head to think of something but I just can't.
Well I saw where De Niro’s company, Tribeca Productions has money in this thing.
I wouldn’t see anything with De Niro in it anyway.
