"Deep state" is too dramatic.
Every government has hidden groups to answer to: the rich and influential. That's normal and the Founders accounted for that.

What they didn't account for was a unified media, that depends on the same influential groups as the politicians for their advertising revenue.
The same people the Founders knew would be donating to politicians is the same group supporting the media.
Television is something they could not imagine. They naturally thought media would be diverse, representing different interests and regions. The First Amendment was not meant to protect internationalist companies' attacks on America. but a diverse US media.

So here we are: America choosing between the Founders and the media.

Let me be crystal clear, I want the hearing to be open to the press. But I also want my lawyer to be able to tell the court what's in the sealed emails that prove I was framed for $. Its the other side that's sealed the material. Let them unseal it so the world can see the truth.

Watching Devin Nunes on Sunday Morning Futures. I didn’t know about this:

Jordan and Meadows Request Information on Two Prosecutors on the Special Counsel’s Team – United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform

Today, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, and Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC), Ranking Member of the Government Operations Subcommittee, sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr requesting information about the actions of two high profile prosecutors on the Special Counsel’s Office, Andrew Weissman and Zainab Ahmad, and their knowledge of the information in the Steele dossier in 2016.

In 2016, prior to the presidential election, both Weissmann and Ahmad were part of a small group of Justice Department officials communicating with then-Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr about the anti-Trump dossier information collected by an FBI source, Christopher Steele. According to Ohr, Steele was “desperate” to prevent then-candidate Donald Trump from becoming President-a bias Ohr communicated to the FBI. Ohr testified he also conveyed Steele’s information to Weissmann and Ahmad in 2016-well before Special Counsel was appointed. “
