I am not taking this idiots side. But I think its important to understand some aspects of the business:
1. There are music residuals for this show. If he is not getting a piece of that its huge.
2. There are back end points that make a lot more than salary. This is why you see Actors listed a producers.
3. There are other issues such as longer term contracts, appearance and concert fees.
The entertainment business is a LOT more than salary paid for a gig. In fact the salary is probably the least lucrative of the overall money.
These are all valid up issues, but he should have taken it up,p with his employer ... except I suspect he knows hes not that great and didnt want to challenge them.
Anyway, who can live on $1,000,000 a year? He probably had to go to the food bank and he was just too tired to fight it out.
