So he complained about his salary, the show decides to write him off (fire him) and his actions of instead of finding a new job, he stages a fake hate crime on himself hoping it would gain sympathy with the producers to keep him and pay him more? Because he would now be a victim and popular with name recognition? He actually believed this would work

I think he was hoping they would either change their mind or he could get another gig for more money because of the “hate crime” and popularity he gained from the “attacks”
If you were a Hollywood liberal producer and needed a black gay actor, would one who was recently beat up by racist homophobic Trump supporters be the guy you would call?
Somebody told him he should get “hazard pay” for working in Chicago. I would demand it.
Apparently he was staging a demonstration on why he should be afforded hazard pay.

They spent all morning talking about how brilliant they were and how they solved this crime HE COMMITTED... And how he tainted the name of Chicago..
1) They just tainted the jury pool
2) Chicago was tainted way before this
3) WHAT ABOUT SMEARING TRUMP SUPPORTERS???? How about an apology for that?
4) They spent an incredible amount of time investigating this- why can’t they solve any other crimes ???
5) I bet they REALLY wanted to find them racist Trump supporters... that is why they put so much effort into this.

This is probably also a lie. An excuse to cover the truth. He did it to help Kamala. I can just feel it.
I am not taking this idiot’s side. But I think it’s important to understand some aspects of the business:
1. There are music residuals for this show. If he is not getting a piece of that it’s huge.
2. There are back end points that make a lot more than salary. This is why you see Actors listed a producers.
3. There are other issues such as longer term contracts, appearance and concert fees.
The entertainment business is a LOT more than salary paid for a gig. In fact the salary is probably the least lucrative of the overall money.
Chief say ‘Absolute justice would be an apology’.
He doesn’t want justice. He is just pissed he got sucked in.
