I had an Atari 400 back in the mid-’80s but, frankly, it didn’t serve much purpose until I discovered CompuServe.

I still have a fully functioning PC made from a bare bones kit that runs Windows 2000 NT (it used to run Windows 98). Its main purpose today is converting audio files to CDs to be played in my car.

My Dad passed about a year ago and I had his old franklin sitting in his garage ready for me to pick up. My brother in law tossed it in a dump run. Pretty pissed but oh well. I still have the floppies though.

My neighbor had one of those. During one summer break we spent hours playing Wizardry and Castle Wolfenstein. I remember we had to draw out maps on paper of where all the rooms were.

I used that exact configuration to develop an automatic test stand for our inhouse battery test stations. Back in the late 70s.

Back when computers were fun and creative. Back when Apple sold breadboards to configure and plug into these machines. Back when Basic was where it was at.

Ah, memories!

I wonder how many of these 1989 tip calculators are still around and working?

Before I started that computer up I would immediately coverup the camera and microphone.

Well, this looks like a thread that I can ask a game question.

I have discovered that the old PONG game is availabel on line.

the mouse doesn’t do it.

Can someone recommend a mouse or controller that would work well with the game?

I always loved it and my first husband and I played it in the stores when it came out, but we were as poor as churchmice and never bought it, one of my many regrets.
