They’ve won 9 championships in a row. Let’s hope the stupid sports writers don’t ladle out that slop about them being “underdogs” again. As long as they can get those crucial calls from the NFL’s refs, Tom Brady can win till he’s 50.

So the trip to the Superbowl is decided by a coin toss.

Yes, that’s a problem

your fixation on qbs is cute, but it’s a team sport.

KC defense sucked in strategy. They failed to sack flat footed Brady even one time.

Edelman did a great job! Those knees just kept on churning!

look, if you can’t determine the winner after 60 minutes of football, the whole thing could reasonably be decided in finality on a coin toss.

It wasn’t decided by a coin toss.

KC could have stopped them.

Well, I don’t think the Rams stand a chance in hell, but two DAWGS will be going at it...

Gurley vs. Sony Michel, although Gurley barely played today.

Don’t know if he’s hurt or what.

I do feel bad for Andy Reid. I like him.

people really shouldn’t get their knickers in a knot over a game.

Agree, and there are too many subjective calls for penalties such as pass interference and holding. Football is supposed to be a rough game. It has come to a point that the umpires decide the game.

Everyone complaining about overtime!
How about marking both teams losers if they tie?

Then have the next two teams in line play next week.
Boy, that would get some good football played!

It wasn’t decided by a coin toss

By the time you get to the Conference playoffs, they're both really good teams

So there's a good chance that whoever gets first possession WILL score a TD

So yes, it is effectively decided by a coin toss if BOTH teams aren't allowed at least ONE possession - and that's what you had tonite

So then, discussion is getting our knickers in a knot?

I assure you my knockers are fine. I just joined the conversation to put my 2 cents in, as I presume you did. I’m not losing any sleep over the NFL overtime rules, believe me.

Nope.

Old rule was first team to score wins. So, the team that won the toss only had to play well enough to kick a field goal to win.

Now, if you get the ball first and only manage to kick a field goal, the other team gets one crack.

Score a touchdown on the opening drive, or, if you didn’t win the toss and you force a safety, you win.

What I don’t get is why the Chiefs never called a time out. The defense was obviously gassed.

You gotta hand it to them - Brady knows how to get the job done. The Rams don’t have a chance.
