Patrick Mahomes made history Sunday when he became the second NFL player to ever throw for 50 touchdowns and 5,000 passing yards in a single season.

The only other player to have 50 touchdowns and more than 5,000 passing yards in a year is Peyton Manning, who did so at age 37 in 2013.

QB Mahomes is ONLY 23 years old! I watched his game against Seattle Seahawks. He is one terrific QB, probably the main reason Kansas City Chiefs have done so well this year. This guy can throw lightning fast accurate passes while running full speed! Only other QB who can do that consistently is Russell Wilson of Seattle Seahawks.

Patrick Mahomes’ father is Pat Mahomes, former Minnesota Twins pitcher. Patrick was considered a real MLB prospect, but went with Texas Tech football instead, although he did pitch some for Tech baseball.

Yes, too many subjective penalties, especially for “holding” and “pass interference”. It has come to a point when the umpires are more important in deciding a game than the players.
