Two strangers married on Christmas Day after meeting for the first time at an airport in their wedding attire before boarding a plane to Las Vegas. Sarah [Elliott], 34, matched with Paul Edwards, 36, on online and within days decided to get hitched. They matched on Dec. 15 and exchanged messages and spoke to each other for the first time on Dec. 22.They committed to each other and booked a wedding venue - the Bellagio. After meeting for the first time at Gatwick Airport on Christmas Eve, the duo boarded a plane in full wedding attire and jetted off to Las Vegas to get married. We instantly clicked - there was an undeniable connection," Sarah Edwards, a nanny who is originally from New Zealand but now lives in Tunbridge, Wells, Kent, said. "I feel like Paul's my best friend already. We're not looking at everything through rose-tinted glasses. We know it will be challenging, but we're willing to work together. I'm usually such a logical person, but all the rules have been thrown out."

No way it will last. Marriage is hard enough already.
What a sucker ...
10 years ago i proposed to my wife after a month from meeting her.
I don’t find this surprising. It beats “dating” for years, having a bunch of kids and then saying “oh well.. Should we? “
Without the kids, my first relationship lasted 14 years.
I hope the dude is not in for a big surprise.....like she was Miss Spain in the Miss Universe contest.
Her or him?
Him
I see what you did there................LOL!!!................
Or she’s in debt up tp her eyeballs. Or him for that matter.
Pre-arranged marriages in India have better survival rate than a typical US marriage.

Who ever loved, that loved not at first sight?
Christopher Marlowe
It lies not in our power to love or hate,
For will in us is overruled by fate.
When two are stripped, long ere the course begin,
We wish that one should love, the other win;
And one especially do we affect
Of two gold ingots, like in each respect:
The reason no man knows; let it suffice
What we behold is censured by our eyes.
Where both deliberate, the love is slight:
Who ever loved, that loved not at first sight?
I don’t know if it is true or not, read this love poem many years ago. ... But my husband and I married June 1973 and literally hated each other the first few months after we met! LOL We’ll celebrate anniversary 46 in June. Time flies! I think we stay together for the cats, and grandkids LOL We go on a lot of cruises and other EU trips all the time. This year we went to London with REASONS TO BELIEVE and to New Mexico with sister and bro in law... We have a lot of fun, and we wouldn’t do any fun things alone, I wouldn’t...
We were still happily married when she died of health complications in 2005.
So it can work ...
I was not in debt until I got married. I failed to ask my bride how many student loans she had. Arrggghhh!
Awwwww! What a great story! Im so glad you had that lifetime of joy together.
Im just sour because mine didnt work, dont mind me!
I know someone who knew each other six month and got married.
Still together after 30 years.
Getting a house and alimony is a better deal than a gallon of kerosene and a match in the backyard.
I was not in debt until I got married. I failed to ask my bride how many student loans she had. Arrggghhh!
She wasnt from Spain by any chance, was she??
I agree about pre arranged marriages. Even mail order brides from China and Russia. I know two couples like that. One bride from Russia, one from China. The couple who lived next door to us at our old house, he was from US, she was from China. You have never ever met people more concerned, appreciative, considerate, loving, gentle, kind as these two people. If you asked either one of them if they wanted to do anything, no matter how big or small, they always said they would have to check with their spouse. Such a sweet and kind couple. Married many years now, three kids! Great people.
Our nephew married a Russian gal in 2005. Marriage made in heaven. He is so happy to have a beautiful devoted wife. She is now a US citizen. They have two kids. Fantastic relationship. They both know how truly blessed they are.
But then couples together for many years, get married, then divorced. The opposite of what you would think.
We met in college and kind of grew up together. Grew into adulthood together. Our son is 34 and having a hard time conforming to what a woman wants out of him as a husband, he has been single for too long.
Who knows what magic in the universe controls us and our relationships, maybe the angels.... God sends them to us?
