Four suspects, including a man who accidentally shot himself in the leg with a stolen gun as he tried to flee from officers, are jailed in connection with the theft of a local firefighter’s pickup on Dec. 10 from outside the Temple fire station where it was parked... Reed was taken to the Bell County Jail where a jailer who searched him found a bag of suspected methamphetamine, the affidavit says... Sizemore admitted to investigators that Castleman arrived at her home driving the stolen truck and told her that he had found the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with the keys and a pistol in it, the affidavit says. She told investigators that she and Castleman took turns driving the truck and said she was at the wheel when the Belton officer pulled the pickup over. Castleman, who’s a convicted felon, later told investigators that he “had found the keys in the truck and ‘taken…off,’” the affidavit says.
