An armored truck spilled cash all over Route 3 West near Route 17 in East Rutherford Thursday and had motorists out of their vehicles, picking up money off the road, according to police.

The bills apparently dropped from a Brink’s armored truck about 8:30 a.m., police said. Video posted to social media shows cash flying and people picking the bills up off the highway.

“One-hundred dollar bills flying everywhere, and people are making BANK,” wrote one person who posted video to Instagram.

At least one car was on the shoulder with front end damage from a crash with airbags deployed. Police said there were several crashes.

Gotta be honest in THIS forum, since I’m getting less honest in life .... I would scoop up what I could and pocket it. No question. Mama actually does need new shoes.

....all that was needed at that location was a few inches of snow when this happened... quite familiar with the area....they would’ve been picking pieces up New Years eve.

Remember that time when the housing market tanked, all the lenders got bailouts while all the homeowners got screwed? I do.

I don’t know if I would have stopped and gotten out of my car, but if I saw a cash cloud I’d probably roll down the windows on one side and swerve into it!

“Remember that time when the housing market tanked, all the lenders got bailouts while all the homeowners got screwed? I do.”

Not to mention that time of the Auto Bailout, when GM and their muckymucks got their cash and the investors got the shaft.

> “What happened to those most faithful GM investors who had kept their money in the old GM? Their shares—which had been placed in MTLQQ—were worthless. Who received the new stock ahead of the IPO? The General Motors Trade Union and the U.S. Treasury. One despondent investor wrote:

I’m still holding GM stock that Obama DROVE DOWN from $35.00 to 28 cents or less ! My “old” stock is now worth NOTHING !” <

I would, at this time, consider cash on the highway a gift from Heaven. As a very stuck inmate of El Stato de Nueva Yorko, DJT’s great economy hasn’t reached me.

If I didn't know where flying money was coming from, I'd scoop it up.

If I saw an overturned Brinks Truck in the road, I'd leave it alone. Because if I took it, I'm stealing from Brinks.

Something similar happened in Indianapolis last year, next to an inner city housing area.

I'm in El Estado Grande Del Tejas, and it hasn't reached me either.

Ah, but your Spanish lingo has obviously benefitted a LOT more than mine has, being that close to the border.

I’m sorry and wondering why not, though; Texas has been touted as one of the vastly improving places. No? My sister tells me Arizona is the place to be ......

I saw this happen with a semi trailer
loaded with frozen beef. The reaction
of those on the road was the same.
There were packages of meat scattered
for a quarter of a mile.
The state police had the road blocked,
and allowed the motorists to gather
the meat. The cop explained that the
load was insured, and with people
gathering the spoils, saved the state
the clean up cost. It was a surreal
scene.

How come when there’s mayhem around me, it’s NEVER this kind of Mayhem??

The closest I ever came to ‘bonanza’ was passing by a Dunkin Donut truck on its side...in the Philippines. Having seen all the crap (literally) that gets deposited on the roadways there, I wasn’t even tempted to slow down

I’m from that area originally. Bad road at about anytime of day or night. Traffic nightmare.

Texas has been touted as one of the vastly improving places. No?

Texas is doing fine. We get our share of libs, but we also attract huge numbers of conservative refugees from all over the country.

Many consider Texas to be the last refuge for true Americans.
