It probably comes as no shock that I am not a fan of Michelle Obama.
She has made a heck of a lot of money off the victim grift over the years. And I really don’t particularly like folks who profit from demagoguery.
But I have to admit, even Michelle Obama has more class than the Clintons.
Like Bill and Hill, Michelle is on a world tour. Though, unlike the Clintons, she actually has a reason to go on tour – specifically promoting her seven-figure book “Becoming.”
Over the weekend, Michelle announced that she is canceling some tour dates this week so she could pay her respects to George H.W. Bush.
“I hope readers and ticket holders will understand my decision regarding my desire to attend President Bush’s funeral,” Michelle said in a tweet, “and join me in paying tribute to him and his tremendous contributions to our world.”
Meanwhile, the Clintons Empty Seat Tour will proceed full steam ahead despite the impending funeral of a former President.
Yup. Tuesday night, the Clintons will appear before a bunch of empty chairs at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugarland, Texas.
Stop and think of how disrespectful this really is.
The Clintons are doing their Empty Seat Tour in George H.W. Bush’s own backyard the evening before his funeral at the Washington National Cathedral.
So I’ll give Michelle Obama her due. For her, respect for the office of President comes first. While for the Clintons, well, the Clintons come first.
But is anybody really surprised that the Clintons don’t have even a sliver of class?
I’m not.
After all, nothing gets in the way of Bill and Hillary’s quest to gobble up money like Pac Man gorging on cherries.
And unlike Michelle who will easily pack the house for any rescheduled tour dates, the Clintons can’t even sell out the scheduled ones.
No doubt they’re concerned that rescheduling will make the audience size dwindle to even less than it already is.
Either that, or they’re just classless, greedy assholes.
SRSLY? I wasn’t aware there was a unit of measure that tiny.
I read on FR last night that the Clintons had postponed their event in Sugarland, TX, so not sure this article is accurate.
High praise, indeed!
They are both from Chicago so the bar is very low.

And she charges top dollar for the privilege of hearing her tout her book.
She’s a grifter.

Geez, I hate to defend the Clintons, but is everything in the country supposed to completely stop? Not that putting the DC criminal class in suspended animation isn’t a good thing, but we’re also not delivering mail, not trading stocks, and now we’re giving federal workers a paid day off. Very generous of us.

Michelle may be head and shoulders above the Clinton’s, however, that chip on her shoulder will keep her from ever being all American. Unwilling to let the past be the past and history be history, she is just as racist as the Black Caucus is.
If the Clintons are looking for a venue where they can speak to a packed house, I know of a conference room in my office they could probably rent. I think it holds about 20-25 comfortably, which seems to be their standard audience size.
Heck, I’ll even spring for a couple dozen donuts they can serve as refreshments to the attendees. One donut free with every $500 you spend on worthless Clinton books and other trinkets.
* this presupposes class is a positive thing. If you start to measure using negatives, then again is there a significant difference between two very large negative numbers?
It’s a little easier to get back to DC for the funeral from TX than from Europe.

You don’t remember Presidential funerals. Everything stops. I’m glad. It’s nice to see some tradition and respect.
I’m not so sure about her class, either. I’ve seen her mug on more TV promotional ads than I can count. I try to think back and cannot recall any of the First Ladies with Republican husbands who appeared on The View or any of the late-night TV shows. Yet, every time I turn around, there’s whats-her-face promoting herself for some TV appearance. Absolutely no class.
