Take a look at the Grand Canyon Photo. Its an example of the Electric Universe theory in action.

Seems like much darkness in most of these pics.

“The digital art award is aimed at ‘rewarding excellence in modern digital post-processing’”
The pictures look great, but it’s essentially a photoshop contest, not “real” photography.

Miles Morgan trekked to the foothills of Mount Whitney in California to get this stormy image. It is the tallest peak in the U.S. state, topping out at 6,100 feet. It was entered into the open landscape category.
Uh, yeah, just a minor mistake here. Mt Whitney is NOT just 6,100 ft. Is is actually almost 14,500 ft tall. I've been there many times.

Wow - I love the misty swamp pics, they look like a video game. And the tree covered in snow is breath-taking.

I wonder how many errors there are in the article. Here's a place to start:
"Miles Morgan trekked to the foothills of Mount Whitney in California to get this stormy image. It is the tallest peak in the U.S. state, topping out at 6,100 feet."
Not even a feet/meters confusion.

And it is the tallest in the contiguous 48 states. Alaska has taller mountains.

Yeah, I’ve been to the top of California’s Mt. Whitney twice when it was 14,496 feet high. New satellite technology actually shows it to be 14,505 feet high, making it the highest mountain in the lower 48 states.
