LOL. The memories.
I remember my mom joining a group that was pressuring a local TV station to quit running the Stooges out of fears that kids would carry out copycat eye-pokings and hammer-bashings.
When I was 10, I was a member of the Three Stooges Fan Club. How cool is that?
I can’t stop thinking about vertical hold and horizontal hold. LOL. Yum yum eat ‘em up
Niagara Falls!
Slowly I turned....step....by....step.....inch....by....inch.....
There’s two that stand out for me but I don’t know the names of the episodes. I remember very little about them except I particularly enjoyed these episodes.
1) They encounter a skeleton or a ghost. Maybe it had something to do with a pirate’s chest?
2) They were running a dog wash.
Oh, Mammy!

“Oh see the deer. Has the deer a little doe?”
“Why soitenly....two bucks!”
The Stooges were Jewish and were incredibly talented in many ways, and also ahead of the curve in purposely mocking Hitler and the Nazis. Reruns of their shows were definitely a big part of my childhood TV viewing. I even learned how to do the around the floor in a circle thing that Curly did.
It’s also fun to sing this to my 10 mos old grandson:

Although their salaries were modest for the films they produced, they made much more during the year playing nightclubs and other venues. Offstage, Moe was sensibkle and conservative when it came to money. Larry was a heavy gambler, and Curly spent most of his money on women and booze. Because of this, Moe talked the other two into giving him part of their salary each month so he could invest it for them. He knew that one day their show business career would be over, and wanted them to have money to live on when that day arrived. As for Moe, he made a fortune in real estate.
