That seems to be your conclusion for every race and poll.

All the polls prove there’s no path to 270 for Trump. /s

I’m tired of everyone running scared of suburban white women. Are there no suburban white men?

I’d guess their love of Trump does not transfer over to generic Republicans.

I have been looking at some of the polling lately in Michigan …
Care to cite exactly which polls?

Like Wisconsin, now that the Repubs have gotten the state’s economy in a solid footing, voters feel safe to elect dems.

No one can ever accuse American voters of being pragmatic or consistent.

From Michigan, not sure. I am all in for Repubs but only to save the President and SC.

I do know neg ads being run on Bishop regarding health care vote and he took money from lobbyists; an ad where a few republicans who are farmers are saying they are voting for Stabmenow because she listens and has their back. I haven’t seen any neg ad against James. But then again- not seen hardly any for him.

I think lot of women who didn’t vote for trump or Hillary are going to vote and they are pissed and part of the #metoo feel sorry for women, movement. There is a lot of liberal rage in ANN ARBOR AREA where I work. Lot of get out the vote to colleges more then ever recruiting college students.

I also think lot of people are just tired of the crap between both parties and some will just stay home. I am tired too of DEMS getting by with every dirty trick, the evilness, no accountability, of the Repubs not fighting for our President, caving to DEMS and protesters, etc.

I was polled two nights ago and of course I am voting for all of those people-a 59 year old, white, college graduate, female, Republican. The pollsters probably did not count me.

I cannot believe they are behind.

Send in Sarah. She still has an unused ticket to Michigan from 2008, I believe.
It will be worth more now than it was then!

They are getting almost no exposure here.

I have not even seen an ad for James and Schuette's ads have been unremarkable.

I live in a fairly conservative, mostly rural area outside of Kzoo. People here will be voting for Upton (while holding our noses), James, and Schuette. I can’t speak for the rest of the state, but I never trust polls and nobody else should either.

With that said, I have seen very few ads from James or Schuette on local TV, while the Dem ads are on all the time. That could influence the polling, but I hope that the GOP starts running ads soon.

One problem I see is that John James has distanced himself from President Trump since he received the Republican nomination. If you look at his tweets and speeches, he never mentions Trump anymore (after embracing him before the primaries). I feel this is a mistake...he risks being seen as as a standard milquetoast Republican and will find it hard to attract the “Reagan and Trump Democrats” which are ample in Michigan.
