It’s been years since teachers have been allowed to give anything below a 70 much less a 0. No one fails and everyone gets a participation ribbon. The latest is HS not recognizing valedictorians.

I’d say it depends on the school, and district. In my suburban Houston community, I can attest that all 3 of my kids have received 0’s. Last year, and one even this year (failure to turn in an assignment). I’d chewed their butt, but since I’m divorced, can’t really punish them since they live with their mother.
